Light Harbor

Light Harbor Ministries serves the residents of the Mount Laurel Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare by providing worship opportunities, activities and friendship.

We conduct a worship service on site on the third Sunday of each month at 2:30 pm. The service includes prayer, singing, witnessing, special music, a message and communion.

On the first Wednesday of each month at 10:30 am, we hold a sing-along for the residents, accompanied by piano, violin and recorder. Both religious and secular songs are included. If you like to sing or play an instrument, we’d love to have you join us.

Each Christmas, members of our congregation sign up via our “Christmas Stocking” to buy individual Christmas presents for residents who don’t have the support of family. We also pack Christmas bags to give to residents in general and hold a Christmas party for them that includes carol singing and refreshments.

At Easter, we assemble and deliver Easter bags to the residents, along with Easter cards made by our children or Kate’s Place. We also provide the residents valentines on Valentine’s Day.

Light Harbor Ministry participants meet at 7:00 pm on the first Monday of each month for planning purposes when needed.

The joy that our efforts bring to the Innova residents constantly reminds us that it truly is more blessed to give than to receive. If you are interested in being part of this ministry, either interacting with the residents or working behind the scenes, please contact Linda Wanagas at 856-273-1298.
