Sue Harris
Parish Nurse

The parish nurse ministry combines nursing and ministry to help individuals of all ages with their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Serving as the parish nurse, Sue works as a personal health counselor and advocate, a health educator, a liaison to community health resources, and a trainer and coordinator of volunteer support services within the faith community.
Areas of responsibility:
- Visitation of ill members of the congregation
- Coordinator of Heart to Heart Ministry
- Health education programming
- Coordination of blood pressure and vascular screenings, health fairs and flu shot clinics
- Organization and participation in yearly medical missions to the Dominican Republic
- Instruction of CPR/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification and refresher courses
- Maintenance of first aid cabinets first aid kits and AED’s
- Writing a health column for the monthly “Messenger”

- Staff nurse – Operating Room, Vantage Surgery Center (currently)
- Home Care Nurse – Moorestown Visiting Nurse Association (1 year)
- Song leader of Praise and Worship services
- Substitute instrumentalist for Worship services
Education:
- BS in Nursing – Rutger’s University
- CNOR – Certified nurse in the Operating Room
- Certified American Red Cross Instructor for CPR, AED and First Aid
Office Hours and Location:
Hours: Monday’s from 9am-3pm, and by appointment.
Location: Downstairs, off of the “Old Choir Room”. (Mr. Rodger’s old office)

Married to Dave.
Interests include sailing, hiking, backpacking, gardening and reading.
