Meg Gaston

Pastoral Intern

Meg is currently interning at FUMC through the spring of 2018.

Meg is in her third year at Princeton Theological Seminary. Among her responsibilities is leading the Young Adult Group (CORE) on Wednesday evenings. She is from North Carolina and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a minor in secondary education from Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, NC. After graduating from Seminary in May 2018, she will move back to North Carolina where she hopes to be ordained as an elder in the Western North Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Before attending seminary she worked for the General Board of Global Ministries of the UMC serving as a missionary in South Korea for five months and Japan for fourteen months. Her time in Japan was spent living on an organic farm with people from all over Africa and Asia. She was able to work with people of all different religions, backgrounds, and cultures. This time overseas helped her see that she wanted to be a pastor who welcomes all in the love of God.

Meg has an older brother and two loving parents. She enjoys being outdoors, especially going for runs and playing soccer.
